Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub’s walls and ceiling are covered with dollar bills, signed and decorated by patrons. Every few years the restaurant removes the bills for a good cause.

On Tuesday, staff removed the bills to donate $1,200 to the family of 15-year-old Austin Goncalves, who contracted a potentially deadly illness, ciguatera, during a fishing trip in the Bahamas.
