Longboat Key Library stocks up on best-sellers

For those trying to complete their summer reading lists, the Longboat Library is here to help.

The library continues to order new books throughout the summer for members to enjoy, specifically those that are on best-seller lists.

Currently, some of the most popular titles available at the library are:

•  “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr
•  “The Aviator’s Wife” by Melanie Benjamin
•  “Being Mortal” by Atul Gawande
•  “End of Watch” by Stephen King
•  “Everybody’s Fool” by Richard Russo
•  “Foreign Agent” by Brad Thor
•  “Here’s to Us” by Elin Hilderbrand
•  “The Last Mile” by David Baldacci
•  “The Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah
•  “Scandalous Behavior” by Stuart Woods
•  “Vinegar Girl” by Ann Tyler

The library also recently added new links and information to its website, longboatlibrary.org. In addition to hours, location and membership information, users can now find links to the books the library has purchased in 2016 on the website. Links are organized by title and cover or month and author. In addition, there are links provided for users to learn more about book club and volunteer opportunities.

The library’s summer hours are 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Saturday until the end of October. Although books are only available for checkout to members, the library hosts “Wonderful Wednesdays” book sales that are open to the public, during which books are half price.
