Town Manager Bruce St. Denis has two special meetings planned for the Longboat Key Town Commission this month.

Town manager assistant Susan Phillips confirmed the Town Commission would hold a special meeting 9 a.m., Friday, May 27, to examine a peer review by Dr. Kevin Bodge, who was hired by the town to review the town’s Comprehensive Beach Management Plan.

The commission asked for the peer review to get a second opinion about its beach plan to make sure it still is effective for the town.

The Town Commission will also hold a special meeting to discuss the Bayfront Park concept plan 1 p.m., Friday, May 13.
