Information center workshop held tonight

An Information Center Acquisition workshop will be held 7 p.m. tonight at Lakewood Ranch Town Hall to discuss the possibility of the Lakewood Ranch Community Development Districts acquiring the Summerfield Information Center located on Lakewood Ranch Boulevard adjacent to Summerfield Park.

The building was also once the site of the old Lakewood Ranch Town Hall where governance meetings and activities were held.

Currently, the building is being used as a sales and information center.

“As Lakewood Ranch continues to grow and expands north, the need for a sales center in Summerfield is diminished,” said Lakewood Ranch Executive Director Eva Rey, in an email informing those about the meeting. “Therefore, the Community Development Districts are evaluating their options and looking at possible uses for the building should they decide to purchase the building from the developer.”

The workshop is open to the public and all interested partied are encouraged to attend.
