High five moments of the week

1 - The Out-of-Door Academy junior Tre Gregory cleared 14 feet, 6 inches to finish second in the pole vault at the Class 1A-Region 3 meet April 17 and earn a berth in the Class 1 track and field finals May 2.

2 - The Sarasota Scullers Girls Freshman Quad defended its gold medal at the Florida Scholastic Rowing Association Sculling Championships April 12 and April 13, at Nathan Benderson Park.

3 - The Riverview High boys track team scored 171 points to win the Class 4A-District 8 meet April 17, at Booker High.

4 - The Cardinal Mooney High boys lacrosse team defeated ODA 16-5 to win the District 25 championship April 17.

5 - Sarasota Christian senior Kelsey Murphy signed a national letter of intent to play soccer at Clearwater Christian College April 17.
