Residents of  Heritage Harbour rallied to support an East County family as the community hosted its annual garage sale event Feb. 5.

As part of the festivities, Heritage Harbour's Helping Hands club organized the "Another Day for Gray!" Bake Sale. Proceeds from the bake sale, which featured delicacies such as fudge, muffins, cookies, pies and even breakfast burritos, were donated to Parent Project for Muscular Dystrophy in honor of Grayson Tullio, the grandson of Heritage Harbour residents Tom and Lucy Tullio.

Grayson, who suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, came out with his 7-year-old twin sister, Emma, and parents Nick and Jen. He even drew the winning ticket for a chocolate fudge cake while there.

Proceeds from the bake sale were combined with profits from a book sale, as well as donations from Heritage Harbour residents, raising more than $1,300 in total for the cause.
