FIVE THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT: John Neal

John Neal announced recently plans to complete University Park Country Club. Learn more about him in our candid Q&A.

1. ATHLETIC ABILITY: John played lacrosse in high school and college, but doesn't care much for spectator sports, in general.

2. ON THE ROAD: John has owned only three cars since earning his driver's license in 1991. He's driven each one to more than 175,000 miles, and they all have been the same make and model.

3. IN THE KITCHEN: John eats healthily and counts calories but also labels himself as a "foodie." He likes to cook exotic food for his wife, Rebecca, and children on the weekends.

4. FURRY FRIENDS: John is a big supporter of the Humane Society of Manatee County because of its advanced, low-cost spay and neuter program.

5. ROCK STAR: John loves music but doesn't play an instrument. "Unless air guitar counts," he quips.
