The Florida Department of Transportation will host a public information meeting Oct. 19 regarding the design improvements to Interstate 75 from north of University Parkway to south of State Road 64 and the reconstruction of the S.R. 70 interchange.

The meeting is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. at Manatee Technical College, 6305 S.R. 70 E., Bradenton.

The meeting will be conducted as an open house where people can view the proposed design plans, ask questions and provide comments to FDOT representatives about the reconstruction of the I-75/SR 70 interchange. A project PowerPoint presentation will play continuously throughout the meeting. Written comments will be received at the meeting and if received by October 30, 2017.

The project will reconstruct the interchange of S.R. 70 and I-75 to have a single loop ramp in the northwest quadrant. It also will expand I-75 to eight lanes, among other improvements.
