EMB Pee Wee squad posts shutout

The East Manatee Bulldogs Pee Wee team opened the season with a 24-0 shutout of the Manatee Wildcats Aug. 25.

Running back Mason Fischer and fullback Caleb Whitson led the way for the Bulldogs offensively.

Defensively, the Bulldogs held the Wildcats to 50 yards of total offense.

The Bulldogs opened the game, driving 70 yards on 12 plays. Fischer capped off the drive with a touchdown pass to wide receiver Amari Pitts.

The Bulldogs recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff and marched 50 yards on eight plays. Whitson scored from six yards out to give the Bulldogs a two-touchdown advantage.

Fischer scored a pair of touchdowns in the second half on runs of 7 and 35 yards and linebacker Ty Barker intercepted a pass on the Wildcats final drive to seal the victory for East Manatee.
