Cyclist killed in traffic accident

The cyclist involved in a crash near the intersection of Central Avenue and 10th Street has died, according to a Sarasota Police news release.

Emergency personnel transported 20-year-old Victor Foreman to Blake Medical Center at roughly 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, after he collided with a van driven by 61-year-old Eric Goretcki. Officers allege Foreman rode his bicycle through a red light at Central Avenue, causing the accident.

Sarasota Police continue to investigate the incident.
