Another member of the Team Ava-sponsored pups for Southeastern Guide Dogs has graduated from the program.

In 2014, Ava became the third dog sponsored by Team Ava, which supports dogs with funds collected from the Southeastern Guide Dogs walkathon.  The black lab has been paired with program graduate Beth Curtis. Ava will help Curtis gain confidence as she lives on her own for the first time. Beth looks forward to exploring new places with her and walking at a faster pace as they head home together as a team.

The pair crossed the stage Thursday, April 21 at Michael’s On East for the graduation ceremony. Deb Kabinoff, who founded Team Ava in memory of her late sister Ava Hodous, was present for the celebration.

Seeing double

Two are better than one in the case of Siesta Key manatee Tomo-Bella, who was spotted by resident Karl Nelson this month with twin babies.

Nelson recorded a video of the twins floating along with their mom down a canal on Siesta Key. Watch the video at YourObserver.com
