Graci McGillicuddy, patron of the arts and winner of the Arts Leadership Award, said it the best: "People come here for the beach and stay here for the arts."
And that was clear at The Arts and Cultural Alliance Annual Arts celebration, which recognized Sarasota arts and its supporters on Monday, Oct. 21 at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.
