Thunder hoops host Blazers

The Out-of-Door Academy boys and girls basketball teams hosted Sarasota Christian in regular season action Jan. 24. The Thunder defeated the Blazers 41-32. Brian and Ragone and Jack Cannon led the way for ODA with 13 points each. The Lady Thunder fell to Sarasota Christian 43-40. Mara Falahee scored 26 points, 16 of which came in the fourth quarter, to lead the way for ODA.

Hamel Park where participants enjoyed hot dogs, donuts, snow cones and music after walking along Sarasota Bay. March of Dimes is a nonprofit that focuses on ending premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality.
