May 24 King of the urban jungle 5:30 p.m. - 600 block of Central Avenue. Theft. A furniture-store owner told police that someone stole two cast-iron lion's heads that were mounted to the front of his building. The heads were attached to metal brackets with silicone adhesive, and the brackets were mounted to the building. The lion's heads are valued at $1,500 each.

When he caught up to her at a stoplight, he saw why she was having trouble staying in her lane. She was staring in the rearview mirror while applying her makeup.
