When you mix Dr. Seuss and G Wiz, you get a science museum full of 150 people wearing Cat in the Hat caps. On Sunday, Oct. 9, G Wiz and The Players joined forces to encourage kids to learn and think outside of the box, and it was a fundraiser benefiting both groups. The event also acted as a kick-off for The Players' 'Seussical the Musical,' which starts Oct. 20.

Following tradition at Casa del Mar, a member of the Ryan family is always the Easter Bunny. This year, wearing the bright pink bunny suit was Ed Ryan Jr. The Easter Bunny always gets a warm welcome, because the youngsters know once he arrives, the Easter egg hunt is about to begin. The grounds at Case del Mar were roped off in sections, and adults were in each to supervise.

GALLERY: BKYC v. SYC Bowling Tournament

The last time Bird Key Yacht Club and Sarasota Yacht Club's bowling teams faced off against one another was five years ago. Prior to that the clubs had a yearly competition and the winning club would go home with the trophy and get to keep it until the following year when it could be back up for grabs. This year SYC won by a mere 141 points.

Indian Beach and Sapphire Shores neighborhood residents sold fine arts and crafts at the Sun Circle Art Festival Saturday, March 2, in Sun Circle Park to get the community together. Area musicians jammed out while neighbors strolled and chatted with each other. Students from Mingwu Martial arts performed self-defense and kicking demonstrations and area writers conducted readings.
