Hundreds of East County residents flocked to Hunsader Farms for the 20th annual Pumpkin Festival Oct. 23. Guests enjoyed picking out pumpkins in the pumpkin patch, hayrides, a corn maze, a petting zoo, children's rides and games, a craft fair, music and a plethora of fair food and drinks, among other activities. The Pumpkin Festival will resume this Saturday and Sunday and will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

Participants in the 2011 American Youth Circus Festival showed off their talents Thursday, Aug. 18 during one of the two showcase performances of the week at PAL Sailor Circus Arena. There are 300 participants from all over the country and range in age from 9 to 87. This year's 5-day AYCO Festival also includes 90 different workshops that cover a wide variety of circus talents.

The title sponsors for the 2012 Sarasota Open were officially announced: Robrady Design and Ziivva. Tickets for the open go on sale Nov. 1 and will be $5 to $1,000 for the Sarasota Open from April 14 to 22. TDA is also a sponsor for the Longboat Key Triathalon on Oct. 23.
