Applications are being accepted by Manatee County through Tuesday, March 31 to fill one open seat on the Metropolitan Planning Organization Citizens Advisory Committee.

The MPO is responsible for developing plans, policies and priorities for the region’s transportation infrastructure. The CAC “assists the Metropolitan Planning Organization by providing input to the transportation planning process that reflects the citizens’ views and attitudes,” according to the MPO website.

Applicants must be Manatee County residents to apply for the at-large position.

“This At-Large position is a valuable opportunity for a community-minded resident to help guide long-term transportation priorities that will impact Manatee County for years to come,” Manatee County wrote on social media.

Those interested can apply online at MyManatee.org/applyforboard.
