For one weekend later this month, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens’ Historic Spanish Point will become a wonderland of whimsy during the Enchanted Garden Family Festival.

Scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 28-29, the annual event includes such activities as crafts, “unicorn’’ rides, storytelling, face-painting, balloon art, a bubble show and more. Food from vendors such as Bayside Cottage Café, Kona Ice, Twisted Sugar Confection and more will be on hand at the bayside Osprey location.

“The Enchanted Garden Family Festival returns for its fifth year at Selby Gardens’ Historic Spanish Point campus,” said Jennifer Rominiecki, president and CEO of Selby Gardens in a statement. “Last year’s festival was a tremendous success with our visitors, and we’re thrilled to once again invite families to experience the magic of our beautiful 30-acre bayfront preserve during two days of fun for all ages.”

The Enchanted Garden Family Festival is part of the Ann Winslow Donelly and Norbert P. Donelly Family and Community Engagement Series at Selby Gardens. The event is sponsored by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County and Beverly Koski and the Koski Family Foundation.

Admission to the Historic Spanish Point campus is $20 for adults, $12 for ages 5-17, free for ages 4 and under, and free for Selby Gardens’ members. Tickets may be purchased online at Selby.org or on-site upon arrival. This event is rain or shine. In the event of hazardous weather, Selby Gardens may cancel.
