Applications are new being accepted for the Youth Leadership Sarasota Class of 2027, a development program of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce.
The program is designed for rising high school juniors and seniors, providing an opportunity to explore Sarasota County, develop leadership skills and gain a deeper understanding of their local environment, earning community service hours and building lasting connections along the way.
“Youth Leadership Sarasota is a great opportunity for students to get involved in their community,” said Pete Bartosik, senior program manager of Leadership Sarasota & Young Professionals Group, in a news release. “The program offers insight into the many facets of Sarasota and highlights a variety of industries. One of its key goals is to introduce students to diverse career paths and, in doing so, open new avenues for their future.”
The immersive, 10-month experience allows participants to gain leadership and teamwork skills, broaden their perspectives and build relationships. Students engage directly with their community through monthly, hands-on experiences exploring local industries, government and social issues; and collaborate on a class project.
The application is available at sarasotachamber.com/leadership-sarasota. Deadline is June 5, 2026. For information, contact Bartosik at [email protected] or 951-556-4039.
