Music lovers closed out this season being serenaded by the Sarasota Bay Chamber Orchestra with a selection of string-based classical pieces.

The 30-some attendees took in an intimate performance on April 10 at St. Armands Key Lutheran Church.

Conductor Glen Olsen led the dozen violin, viola and cello players in performances of pieces by Handel, Haydn, Bach and Mozart.

Trumpet soloist Ricardo Chinchilla accompanied the refined singing of the strings resonating in the church hall.

Trumpet soloist Ricardo Chinchilla and violinist Laura Jensen-Jennings were among the Sarasota Bay Chamber Orchestra musicians who entertained community members with a classical performance on April 10 at St. Armands Key Lutheran Church.

Resident Kay Nelson said the performance was "enchanting," and she appreciated the clarity with which the trumpeter and string section played. She said she can appreciate a quality trumpet player considering her brother-in-law plays professionally, and she found Chinchilla's performance that evening to be exceptional.

Violinist Laura Jensen-Jennings said she appreciated the acoustics of the hall and getting to play for St. Armands community members as the season winds down.
