Event Description: Honoring the Health Care Professionals of Our Community!

Join us for the inaugural Lighting the Path Health Care Luncheon — a celebratory afternoon dedicated to the extraordinary individuals and organizations driving health care excellence across Manatee and Sarasota Counties.

The afternoon begins with a warm welcome reception, followed by a distinguished luncheon, inspiring program remarks, and the presentation of awards honoring health care professionals that support six SCF health science programs: Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiography, Dental Hygiene, Health Services Management, and Nursing. The event culminates in our signature fundraising moment, “Who Will Carry the Light Because of You?” a moving and visual tribute to the power of community generosity and its direct impact on SCF students pursuing health care careers.

The SCF Foundation advances access to higher education through scholarships, academic programs, and campus enhancements. The health care professionals we gather to honor are not only serving our community today; they are inspiring the next generation of caregivers who will carry that legacy forward. May 12 holds special significance: it marks the birthday of Florence Nightingale and is recognized globally as International Nurses Day, making it a fitting and powerful backdrop for this celebration. The SCF pipeline of health care graduates reflects the college’s enduring standard of excellence; an area our entire community can be proud of.
