Christ Church blown away by donations

With four cars filled to the brim with food and diaper donations and $9,000 in cash donations to contribute, Christ Church of Longboat Key hosted its most successful drive to date last week, Sue Wertman said.

Donations from the Nov. 11 drive went to support Our Daily Bread in Bradenton. Wertman said she and eight other volunteers were busy for the entirety of the drive as they accepted shelf-stable foods and hygiene items.
