Manatee County is looking to add two new members to its Library Advisory Board.

Applications are being accepted to fill the five-member group, which meets monthly at the Central Library in downtown Bradenton. The Manatee County Library Advisory Board advises and makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on library matters.

Of the five members on the Library Advisory Board, one is appointed by the city of Bradenton, one is appointed by the city of Palmetto and three are appointed by the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners — one member from unincorporated Manatee County, one at-large member and one Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach or Longboat Key resident.

Two board seats are open, the unincorporated seat and the at-large seat.

Applications will be accepted until Monday, Jan. 5 and must be submitted via the county’s online application portal on MyManatee.org.

Library Advisory Board members serve four-year terms.
