This year's Frosty Frolic fun was aptly named as golfers took to the green at the Longboat Key Club's Harbourside Golf Course on a chilly Dec. 9. But festive spirits and costumes made for a warm celebration when they returned to the Harbourside Ballroom to catch up over lunch before departing for their holiday plans.
President Lynn McBier said about 125 Women's Golf Association members and 72 Key Niners joined in the tournament this year.
She also thanked participants who brought donations for the Toys for Tots collection, adding, "It's a very generous array of toys."
"We are all so fortunate to be women who can play golf on this beautiful course, and it's wonderful to see the generosity of these women giving back to the community," she said.
The club's next fundraising event will be the Swing for the Cure event Feb. 24, 2026, which will benefit Breast Health Sarasota.Â
