In a different twist, The Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation took its annual fundraiser, Party Under the Stars, under the big top Feb. 24 at Sailor Circus Arena.
More than 200 guests enjoyed circus-themed food, decor and entertainment by Circus Arts Conservatory students, who welcomed them with interactive performances throughout cocktail hour.
In addition to dinner and dancing, the event featured a chance drawing for a getaway trip to Las Vegas or Nashville as well as silent and live auctions.
All proceeds from the event go to provide non-medical financial assistance to cancer patients such as rent, car payments or utility bills so they can focus on fighting cancer.
