The sizzling sun didn't stop these kids from dressing up as their favorite character and getting the wiggles out at Temple Emanu-El Purim Carnival on March 5.
Purim is a Jewish holiday that remembers the salvation of the Jewish people of Persia and is celebrated as a joyous occasion.
“This is a holiday of resilience, fantasy and fun and identity. It’s a holiday where we affirm ourselves as Jews amidst all of the silliness,” said Rabbi Shefrin who dressed up as a bee and went by Rab"Bee” Shefrin.
The celebration started indoors with a play and a costume parade. Then celebration was then taken outside where kids jumped on bouncy houses, climbed the rock wall, played games and met with local firefighters.
