Nicole Guy left her guitar back home in Canada but brought her appreciation for the blues. She, as well as hundreds of others blues-lovers, flocked to Downtown Sarasota Blues Festival on March 3-5 at J.D. Hamel Park to enjoy the music.
“We are wannabe musicians,” said Nicole Guy as she sat in her inflatable bed while listening to live blues music.
Her husband, Jacques Guy, clarified: “We are closet musicians.”
These music lovers joined together to listen to groovy licks that had their heads bobbing to the rhythm. Attendees had the opportunity to do some shopping with local vendors and grab some grub in between band changes.
