A Sarasota woman is under arrest for an early Saturday morning shooting, which occurred in the 700 block of Central Avenue shortly after 2:30 a.m. on June 3.

Carrie Ecklund, 48, of Sarasota, was arrested by Sarasota police on Monday and is facing charges of criminal mischief for damage greater than $1,000 and possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony.

One victim was grazed by a bullet in the arm and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Surveillance video from several cameras on the property showed Ecklund in possession of a handgun during the incident, one clearly showing her loading the firearm and then walking toward where the shooting occurred. Detectives also located a bullet fragment inside the building.

A hurricane-proof window valued at $3,240 was found shattered at the scene. There was one bullet hole in the window.

Ecklund is behind bars at the Sarasota County Jail.
