Where to worship this Christmas on Longboat Key

Whether you have a church home in the area or are looking for a church home away from home, here’s a roundup of Christmas worship services happening around Longboat Key to assist your holiday planning: 

All Angels by the Sea’s Christmas Eve service begins at 5 p.m Sunday, Dec. 24. 

Longboat Island Chapel has its regular Sunday service at 10 a.m. Dec. 24, followed by a Christmas Eve candlelight and communion service at 5 p.m. Special music will be played at both. 

St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church’s services begin with Saturday Vigil service at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23. Then services on Sunday, Dec. 24 begin with Mass at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. The Christmas Eve Vigil Mass will be at 4 p.m., followed by Christmas Eve Mass at 9 p.m. The church will have Christmas Mass at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 25.

Christ Church of Longboat Key has a candlelight service at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24 with full choir service.
