Manatee County Primary Election Results 2022

The 2022 primary election was held Aug. 23, with a 31.12% voter turnout.

As of 8:54 p.m., 71/71 Manatee County precincts are reported; 85,977 ballots were counted, with an overall 31.12% countywide voter turnout.

 

Manatee County Commission

District 2 

Reggie Bellamy (D)  |  2,633 votes  |  63.89%

Charles B. Smith (D)  |  1,488 votes  |  36.11%

The winner will face Amanda Ballard (R) in the general election Nov. 8.

 

District 4 

Mike Rahn (R)  |  4,710 votes  |  62.46%

Misty Servia (R)  |  2,831 votes  |  37.54%

The winner will face Daniel Hansen (WRI) and Timothy Norwood (WRI) in the general election Nov. 8.

 

District 6 – At Large

Jason Bearden (R)  |  27,989 votes  |  61.54%

Carol Ann Felts (R)  |  5,970 votes  |  13.13%

Carol Whitmore (R)  |  11,521 votes  |  25.33%

The winner will face Robert Lesher (WRI) and Manuel Antonio Llamas (WRI) in the general election Nov. 8.

 

Manatee County School Board

District 2

Susan Agruso  |  2,474 votes  |  25.56%

Harold E. Byrd Jr.  |  3,441 votes  |  35.55%

Cindy Spray  |  3,764 votes  |  38.89%

Spray and Byrd advance to a run-off in the general election Nov. 8.

 

District 4

Chad Choate  |  6,362 votes  |  55.3%

Sean L. Conley  |  5,143 votes  |  44.7%

 

District 5

James Golden  |  7,873 votes  |  33.04%

Richard Tatem  |  12,034 votes  |  50.5%

Chantal Wilford  |  3,922 votes  |  16.46%
