The golfers of Longboat Key left a good "frost" impression at their annual Frosty Frolic on Dec. 7. Members of the Women's Golf Association and Key Niners donned festive costumes after their rounds at Longboat Key Club.Â
As golfers finished up, the groups of four or six donned their costumes — elves, snow women, presents and a squad of ice queens — and mingled with friends before finding their seats. Golfers brought presents for Toys for Tots, and soon a table spanning much of the front of Harbourside Ballroom was overflowing with toys.
A buffet lunch was served, complete with festive themed cookies for dessert. Director of golf Terry O'Hara tallied the scores as they came in and announced the winners of the respective leagues. The two organizations will meet again in 2022.Â
