Forks & Corks eventgoers swirled, sniffed and sipped May 5 at The Ringling.

The annual food and wine festival put on by the Sarasota-Manatee Originals was rescheduled from its original date in January due to heavy rain, but ironically the forecast included showers on the rain date. Thankfully, festivalgoers lucked out and stayed dry for the first couple hours before the rain clouds rolled in, and then resumed eating and drinking after a brief downpour.Ā

Each year, vintners from all over the world come to Sarasota to showcase and sell their wines at the festival. Local food vendors also participated by dishing out bite-sized specialties.

Proceeds from the event benefited The Ringling and All Faiths Food Bank.
