East County High 5 Moments: 01.17.19

1 — Braden River High girls basketball junior Julia Rodriguez scored 22 points Jan. 10 in the Pirates' 70-51 home win against Manatee High. 

2 — Lakewood Ranch High senior and softball player Kendyl Brahler signed Jan. 5 to play for the University of Tampa. Brahler is shown above with her traveling team coach, Karl Mason of the Clearwater Lady Bombers.

3 — Gary Older sank a hole-in-one on the No. 12 hole of Palm Aire Country Club's Champions course Jan. 11. Older used a 7-iron on the 157-yard hole. 

4 — Braden River High boys basketball senior Lonnie Brown had 11 points and 10 rebounds in the Pirates' 65-40 home win against Bradenton Christian Jan. 8. 

5 — Lou Ann Hock, Susan Rose and Marlene Brake (28) won the Women's Nine Hole Golf Association "Game Day - Tee It Up" event (scramble format) on the King's Dunes course at Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club on Jan. 10.
