East County High 5 Moments: 09.20.18

1 — Braden River High senior quarterback Bryan Gagg threw for 274 yards and two touchdowns on Sept. 14 in the Pirates' 31-28 home win against Palmetto High. 

2 — Danny Walker (-19) won the Mackenzie Tour Freedom 55 Financial Championship on Sept. 13-16 at Highland Country Club in London, Ontario. The win advances Walker, a 2014 Lakewood Ranch High graduate, to the final stage of the Web.com Tour Qualifying School. 

3 — The Out-of-Door Academy junior running back Colin Castro ran for 206 yards and three touchdowns on Sept. 14 in the Thunder's 40-24 road win against Bradenton Christian. 

4 — The Out-of-Door Academy sophomore volleyball player Shelby Fulton had seven blocks and six kills on Sept. 11 in the Thunder's 3-0 road win against Saint Stephen's Episcopal. 

5 — Ken Hall and Steve Kovalick (52) won the Men's Golf Association Two-Man Best Ball Stableford event at University Park Country Club on Sept. 12.
