The city will resume its regular garbage and recycling schedule Thursday, Sept. 14, though it’s likely storm debris won’t get picked up until next week.

In a release Tuesday, the city announced its plans for waste collection in the wake of Hurricane Irma. Residents should keep any storm debris at the curb, away from fixtures such as mailboxes and light poles and separate from other waste, the city said.

The city is working with a contractor, Ceres Environmental, on a schedule for collecting the storm debris. The city anticipates that collection will begin next week.
