Sarasota Opera patrons started their social season Oct. 29 at the Curtain Raiser Dinner, an annual kickoff fundraiser held at Michael's On East.
Guests began their evening with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the courtyard, followed by a three-course dinner in the ballroom. They were also treated to a performance by artists from the opera's latest production, "La traviata."
