Van Wezel hosts Giving Hunger the Blues

Giving Hunger the Blues and Jazz on the Bay rocked the bay front on Oct. 28 to benefit the Mayors Feed the Hungry Program.

Rain was in the forecast on Oct. 28, but the mood was anything but dreary at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall for the 21st annual Giving Hunger the Blues and Jazz by the Bay. 

The annual block party was moved to the Van Wezel last year and benefits the Mayors Feed the Hungry program, which is a local initiative to mitigate food insecure in the Sarasota area. 

By noon on Saturday, early arrivals had settled in to enjoy a full lineup of blues, rock and philanthropy by the bay.
