Benderson Park turns pink for fight against cancer
An estimated 20,000 people participated in the 2017 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.

An estimated 20,000 people sported pink in support of breast cancer awareness Oct. 28 as the American Cancer Society hosted its annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Nathan Benderson Park.
The event raised more than $268,000.
Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch members Rick Schendel, Laura Adcock and Fred Lopez are eager to participate.
