Longboat officials putt to fund emergency services
Resort at Longboat Key Club gave Longboat's emergency services $15,000 at Saturday's putting challenge.

Longboat leaders, officials and golfers gathered Oct. 21Â at the Resort at Longboat Key Club for a putt-off to raise money for the islands police and fire rescue services.
Commissioner Jack Daly, former Public Works Director Juan Florensa, Fire Chief Paul Dezzi, Deputy Police Chief Frank Rubino, Police Chief Pete Cumming and Commissioner Irwin Pastor worked together to raise $15,000 for the town's emergency services special fund, money the departments will split for purchasing outside their allotted town budgets, Dezzi says.Â
