Wilkinson walks for National Walk to School Day

Wilkinson Elementary School students took some steps in the right direction on Oct. 5 — towards school, that is. 

Students, teachers and staff gathered at nearby Bee Ridge Park for National Walk to School Day. The group cheerfully trekked to school, toting signs with safe-walking messages along with them. 

The walkers were greeted at Wilkinson Elementary by their very own mascot, Wilkie the Wildcat, before heading back into the school for their usual schedule.
