Lakewood Ranch reached a new height in the luxury home department when a sale in The Lake Club was announced Tuesday for a whopping $4.6 million by Michael Saunders & Company.

The listing, by Realtor Barbara Najmy, was a Tuscan-inspired estate with 13,000 square feet of living space.

“It is always a pleasure to announce a record sale, as it indicates growing strength in the East County luxury market and the desire of buyers for the best in quality and distinctive design,” said Saunders, founder and CEO of Michael Saunders & Company, in a release.

The record-setting estate is named Villa Lago Eterno and has four bedroom suites, five bathrooms, three half-baths, five fireplaces and a five-car garage. The master retreat is 1,500 square feet.

The property includes a two-story guest casita.

The highest sale in Lake Club to date had been a $3.98 million purchase in March, 2016.
