Junior League kicks off tour of homes

The programs were printed, the route plotted and the trolley prepared for the Feb. 24 Junior League of Sarasota's Simply Sarasota Tour of Homes.

But before the tour began, guests gathered at Pineapple Yoga Studio for brunch to toast to the tour's 40th year. 

"We're really proud to have that legacy," Junior League of Sarasota President Britt Riner said.

All proceeds of the event benefited the Junior League's community service projects. The tour showcased five Sarasota homes ranging from modern to contemporary to historical.

"We always want to have a range of (homes)," event co-chairwoman Alexandra Harb said.
