Glendi has another great run in Sarasota

East County's Paula Boyer had no idea what she had been missing. 

"I'm crossing this off my bucket list," Boyer said of attending the 33rd annual Glendi at the St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church on Feb. 11. "I had never been to a Greek festival before, so I came, and it is great. We loved the dances and the food was great. It is a lovely, well attended and cultured event." 

The four-day event ran through Feb. 12.

An estimated 12,000 guests gathered under enormous white tents to enjoy an authentic Greek experience filled with homemade food, raffles, dancing, music and cultural exhibits.
