Lag Ba'Omer lights up Chabad of Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch
The community celebrated the Jewish holiday with displays of fire.

In the Jewish faith, fire represents the concept of the soul.
So, when the Chabad of Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch community gathered to celebrate the holiday of Lag Ba'Omer, fire was the entertainment of the evening Thursday, May 26.
Community members watched a fire show by Trick Fire, a team from Sarasota, participated in a drum circle and roasted marshmallows on a bonfire.
During the evening, the community also helped Gabriel Vallone and his parents, Lauren Howitt-Vallone and Richard Vallone, celebrate Upshernish, the traditional first hair cut when a boy turns 3 years old.
