“Just having everyone coming out to support families with children with brain cancer, we’re completely touched. Research is important, but it’s just as important helping these families. We’re making a difference, and we’re very grateful for the support.” — Payton Wright Foundation co-founder Holly Wright

The Payton Wright Foundation hosted its eight annual golf tournament May 6, at the Resort at Longboat Key Club.

More than 200 people participated in the tournament, including country music singer David Nail.

“I grew up in a very, very small town and was very naïve about things like this that affects people for the rest of their lives,” Nail said. “Hearing this story, it hits home, and it really touched me. I just wanted to give back.”

The Payton Wright Foundation helps support families caring for children with brain cancer.
