After a count of three, dozens of children hurdled toward the goody-filled eggs during Bayside Community Church’s egg hunts.
The East County church held its annual community event, EGGolution, Saturday, March 19. Between the mad rush for eggs, families could eat and play games, enjoy bounce houses and inflatable slides, pet llamas and ride ponies. Despite a storm, which ended the event about an hour early, co-pastor Duane Curry thought the day went well.
“A lot of people from the community got to come out,” he said. “We had to navigate the weather, but we were still able to get that community feeling.”
