Longboat Key has some pretty smart residents, according to a new ranking from career resource website Zippia.

The site has declared the town the sixth smartest city in Florida, according to data on high school education from the U.S. Census Bureau.

Zippia aimed to help job seekers find smarter cities so it created a ranking based on two factors — the number of teen dropouts and the number of adults over 25 with at least high school degrees.

With a 0% teen dropout rate and only 3% of adults without a high school diploma, the town bested more than 200 other cities in the state.

Sanibel was named the smartest city in the state, while Florida City ranked last, with about 47% of its adult population having no high school diploma and a nearly 20% dropout rate among teenagers.
