Snow cones and lemonade helped keep everyone cool on Lakewood Ranch Main Street.
Spotlight Events Entertainment held its first children's event, Kids Rock Manasota, on June 25. The event focused on creativity, music and local businesses. Vendors set up booths along the street that promoted fitness, summer camps and children's activities. Admission was free, but some proceeds from ride tickets benefited The Lazarus Foundation and The Foundation for Dreams.
"It's been great," said Lazarus Fernandez of Spotlight Events. "People are having a good time."
