The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office has leads but continues to investigate a home invasion robbery in the Greenbrook community.

Four juveniles were counting money and listening to music around a pool at a home in the 6100 block of Blue Runner Court June 9, when two unknown black males wearing masks unlocked the screen and demanded money, a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report states. The suspects punched two of the victims before snatching the money and a wallet.

Sheriff’s Office spokesman Dave Bristow said the sheriff’s office believes the robbery was a targeted incident.

“It was not random,” Bristow said.

Bristow said the sheriff’s office is following up on leads and is investigating whether the incident was drug related.
