The Sisterhood for Good Giving Circle, under the guidance of the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund, presented $3,100 of grants on Thursday at Northern Trust in Lakewood Ranch.
Maribeth Phillips, the CEO of Meals on Wheels Plus, summed up the generosity.
"I have four sisters," said Phillips, who accepted a grant on behalf of Meals on Wheels Plus. "But now I feel I have 42Â more."
The Sisterhood for Good has 42 members.
